Palästinensisches Flüchtlingslager "Gaza"
Near Jerash there is one of the refugee camps for palestinian people. Most of them or their families used to live in Gaza, thats why the camp is better known as 'Gaza camp'. Although UN is helping for years, over 20,000 people are living in poor conditions. Like you can see on the pictures, there is no drain system, just a small canal for dirty water.
Because of many Salafists living in the camp, some people aren't very happy to see strangers from western countries, they even dislike employees of the UN. And the teenagers are even more aggressive than their fathers...
We were faced with these attitudes aswell: While visiting the camp, some of the children were happy to see us, others started to cast stones at us.
After seeing the camp we were invited to have lunch together with a lovely palestinian family and delicious food.
